This project involves the modernization of facilities originally constructed in 1959 at this US Air Force military installation in Kaena point on the North Western tip of Oahu.

This remote tracking station is responsible for tracking satellites in orbit, many of which support the US Department of Defense, receiving and processing data and in turn, enabling control of satellites by relaying commands from control centers.

NAKOA is the prime subcontractor on this project to modernize this facility including the abatement of asbestos & lead, exterior stucco repairs and waterproofing; metal siding and roofing repairs and upgrades to various building components including kitchen & break room, bathroom & other improvements including interior and exterior painting.

Selected work areas are high security and require escorts in the prosecution of the work.
